World Hazara Council (WHC)

Description:
The World Hazara Council (WHC) is an international non-profit umbrella organization, comprising over 40 non-profit organizations worldwide, that represents the interests and rights of the Hazara people around the world. In particular, its main focus is on the human rights of this ethnic group of Afghanistan. The World Hazara Council was formally inaugurated in early 2013 following two years of consultation with an extensive network of Hazara activists and civil society organisations from across the globe. The first meeting of the WHC took place on 21 April 2013 in Vienna. There were sixty-one participants representing their communities from all over the world including Europe, the US, Canada, and Australia.
