Jasmine Foundation

Description:
Α newly established social enterprise that provides income to refugee women of different ages through the creations of handicrafts. Jasmine Foundation, based in the Jordanian capital, enables women to support their families and encourages their self-reliance. It was born out of the need to tackle the scarcity of legal work opportunities for refugees in Jordan, and especially for women. Despite government’s promise to create 200,000 new jobs for Syrian refugees, so far only 30,000 work permits have been issued while women have received only 2% among them.
